Description:
WHO
* Special education students with diagnosed emotional or behavioral
difficulties.
* Grades 4 - 12
* Eligibility - Unions 29 & 30; S.A.D 52; Auburn and Lewiston
* other systems as openings are available
WHEN
* 175 School days / following school calendar of Auburn
* Extended school year programming for middle and elementary school
students to maintain education and behavioral skills
* School day 9:00am - 3:00pm
* Average stay 18 months. (Diagnostic to 2 years)
WHY
* Students have not been successful in their sending schools.
* Students need a small structured setting to acquire social and academic
skills in preparation for return to the community.

* Special purpose day school for students providing emotional / behavioral
supports.
* All staff special education trained / certified or licensed>
* Class size - ration generally five (5) students / one (1) staff
(including Educational Technicians)
* Small school (maximum 45 students).
