COVID-19 Return from Travel Requirements

Return to School after Travel

If traveling from a non exempt state, students and staff may return to school upon receiving a negative COVID-19 test result. (As of 11/23 New Hampshire and Vermont are exempt states. This is subject to change.) Students and staff must wait at least 48 hours upon returning to Maine before being tested and remain in quarantine while awaiting results. Students and staff will need to provide a copy of the negative test result before return to the building. Anyone who is not tested must remain in quarantine for 14 days from date of reentry to the state of Maine. Unfortunately, this is not dependent on the length of time within the restricted states - a one day visit must meet the same requirements as a multi-day visit.

Please plan ahead if you plan to travel! Make your testing appointment prior to leaving the state. Maine testing site information can be found at: https://www.maine.gov/covid19/restartingmaine/keepmainehealthy/testing
