Home Activities for Better Speech
**memory cards with pictures or words that a child is working on **highlighting words from a newspaper **looking for pictures or words with sounds in books **reading with someone **play teacher and correct parents speech by telling them the word they said wrong **making a picture or collage with words that the child is working on **journal writing and then looking for words with sounds **practice saying words 3-5 times each for a warm up **tape record child and let them listen **play pass with a ball and say a word from a category or letter each throw **look for objects and/or signs when riding in the car that have sounds child is working on **use magnetic letters and have your child spell words with the sounds |
