Superintendent Dr. Cornelia Brown

The Auburn School Department’s work centers on four themes:

  • Raising student achievement, which includes setting specific goals, creating plans, checking in and adjusting when needed to ensure all students reach proficiency expectations, demonstrate growth in their journey and graduate ready to succeed in an ever-changing world;

  • Supporting the whole child, which includes the implementation of the Positive Behavior Interventions and Support framework, increasing daily attendance, and understanding the academic, physical, emotional and social needs of our students;

  • Ensuring teachers in every classroom are highly effective, which means teachers setting goals, creating plans, getting feedback, and accessing opportunities for professional development in order to demonstrate growth in their professional journey, which in turn will make an impact on student success; and

  • Celebrating our Bright Spots, which includes learning from each other, sharing our stories, and engaging with our families and community to have a positive school culture where people want to work, students want to learn and families want to support.

The Twitter feed (which can be viewed on our website) is also a great way to follow what is happening throughout the district.
